DEAR PARENTS.

In my very own opinion, one of the most important action which the government of Maldives could take up on is banning the exposé of the notorious “ Muhamma kalo” saga for the minors. Many a parents have not realized the true nature of this so called comedy. I might agree to the fact that kids might crack up to the very sight of muhamma kalo’s movements through out his movies. His actions included a lot of idiotic gestures and even more idiotic facial expressions, and you and I both know that kids are prone to laugh at idiotic things.

However keeping this fact aside, I would like to highlight on the negative aspects of this so called comedy and why the government of Maldives should take initiation on banning this production for an undisclosed temporary date. First let’s take a clear look at the language used. I for the sake of investigative journalism did investigate a few of the series, and believe me when I say I am scarred for life. The story does not have gravity and lacks a plot. And the language used with hidden and twisted meanings, I would say would make a fisherman blush.

I would give some bonus point for muhamma kalo for his ingenious technique to wake the dozing audience, by filling a vibrant song in between every ten to fifteen minutes. I might have enjoyed the songs if I close my eyes shut and think real hard for ways in which I could physically assault the CD. I can always feed it to my neighbor’s cat with a pint of muhamma kalo for extra taste. Sigh. Next I am deeply offended by the degree in which our local actors violate themselves to create a comic character. They may start of their dialogues talking about their love interest and somehow get themselves lost in between talking about the weather and number of crows they say on their way home the other day. I am amazed to see how much irrelevant topics they go on talking so that they could fill up the time duration and call it a masterpiece.

I do honestly feel for the poor extras they cast. These fame hungry victims are introduced to the industry with a false promise of stardom. Almost all of these extras are cast on location, so that the “director” would not have to carry out their expenses. Sadly most of them with such a mighty passion for the industry travel to the capital searching for fame. Some how 99.9 percent of them return home not with fame but with a lifetime worthy of disappointments. They do lose more than they bargained for, many which can not be gained back, mostly on the couch of the casting directors.

The above mentioned incident is not pointed directly towards Muhamma kalo, but I do feel he certainly has an in direct hand in this; after all it is he who introduces these new extras. What my point is this specific movie series is not suitable for the viewing of minors and there are plenty of other reasons to bide my side. It is one thing for a fully grown individual to have a likening to this particular movie. But to inflict torture on a minor, I don’t think so. Hence you my dear parents better stop your children from viewing movies such as this, if not I call upon our reformed government to ban minors from viewing Muhamma kalo saga and take legal actions against those who do not so.
