It wasn’t until 2009 I noticed my weight had sky rocketed. I had completed my high school and was working for the past two years and the pressure of work had completely made me neglect my increasing weight. From a 17 year old weighing 68 kg to a whopping 95 kg 19 year old. The truth did not dawn on me until I saw a picture of myself on Facebook. My over weight body had hidden two of my friends who were behind me in the same picture.
A diet of two breakfasts, the first one from home and the second one from a cafe near my office, which included a four deep fried sausage, four toasts, a greasy two egg omelet and I gulp it down with a cola. For lunch it was again a greasy meal with a cola and dinner would include a five slice pizza or a sub. I kept convincing myself that i was burning a lot of calories at work as it required me to move from one location to another on a daily basis.
The ugly truth that I was morbidly obese nearly spiraled me in to a depressive spell. I knew there were two things I could do about it. One was to complain and sulk, without accepting my actions which resulted in the consequences. And the second was to accept it and do something about it. I chose the second one.
The first thing I decided to do was to change my diet. The cola and the sodas had to go. This minor change helped me to lose my first 3kg’s. The second one was a bit difficult at first but took a while for me to really get in to the habit. I adopted walking. I found a nice trail behind my college which took an hour and a half to complete. With this I also changed my diet. From a large 3 meal to a small five meal plan with lots of fruits and vegetables helped me to lose a total of 15 kg’s in a period of 6 months.
One of the best things about the weight loss in a period of 6months is that with little changes in my diet or exercise does not affect my weight. And I didn’t gain any weight back. I learned many things from my journey. No matter how strict a diet and exercise plan I followed I took a day off each week to indulge myself in exotic food and sweets.

Came here fed ur fishes... :)
