One thing which i had learned from my experience is to never highlight "politics" as the main topic of the day with your closest friends. Its not that i can not prove what i was defending is the right or the best thing for the citizens, its only due to the fact that i hate what my friends become once i trigger their on switch. One minute they are purring like a kitten and in the next roaring like a tiger.
I had never been a fan of politics and do not intend to be a part of it. However i would like to express my views on the way many fellow citizens humiliate themselves in the so called political reform activities. for one thing i disagree with the way most politicians express their opinions on public gatherings. I assumed their mothers had not washed their mouth with enough soap. Such foul language would make a fisherman blush.
Secondly i would like to highlight their way of protesting. Don't get me wrong i am pro protest, you would easily spot me at the very front of a public protest against animal abuse, saving the rain forests, against child abuse and domestic violence and probably shouting to LEAVE BRITTNEY ALONE..... i mean it. But i simply cant get myself to come to term with taking part in a protest to agitate an opposing political party. I find it rather silly and childish.
This actually led Shamman and I to a very mature discussion on what advice we could give to the fellow citizens and the respected politicians and their party members. After what seems to be like a few seconds I decided that the above mentioned should stop wasting their money and donate them to us, specifically me as i had been starving myself in order to be aware of the starving kids in the African nation. I know i deserve that money more than those lazy bums who only care about whats for refreshments at the political gatherings. The second advice for them, all of em is to go back to kinder-garden if they would like to continue their childish behavior.
What Maldives need is not a lazy bum assed politicians who gets whatever "they" want by crying and stomping their feet. What we need is individuals who truly care about the nature and the people and not what they would gain from the status they achieve. If anyone who's reading this dreams of a political career and is against my view i assure you i will hunt you down and kick your ass.

I agree with your thoughts here, but you missed out an important point. to ask ones self what they gain by attending such useless rallies. My answer is simple, NOTHING. We all lead these very short lives, why waste it. If you want fame, remember, this is a tiny country, you can get it without screaming your lungs out.
ReplyDeletei agree with you here. even though we lead a short life we should clearly fight for what we need, but it should be what we need not what we want, as human beings we tend to want a lot.
ReplyDeletei also feel that most maldivians need to chill out a bit. if attention is what they are seeking they should better join the film industry which is crumbling down!!!
