In a land that proudly declares its equality for both the sexes, it deeply disappoints me to find people who still practice a backward thinking. The issue of equality is an issue which is very dear to me. I personally believe that during the past 20 years or so the reformist activity on womens right has abolished a lot of mens right.
what i am trying to say here is that both men and women fought for the rights of women and by the lords blessing, it was a huge success. However during this struggle many had not paused to think about the rights for men, hence today's younger male generation has to fight for what they truly deserves.
For instant lets talk about an incident which i faced recently. My college, which i had been attending for the past year and a half is very lenient towards its students. We were allowed to wear any proper outfit to college and on Saturdays we could wear casual clothing. Most of my friends and i would wear shorts on Saturdays. However one day after the new intake i was rudely stopped from entering the campus and rudely ordered to go back and change, as i was wearing shorts ( which i must say was very decent looking) .
I demanded a reason for such a haste decision. they blabbered about rules being changed.
I tried to talk them into bending the rules. I declared that the girls were allowed to wear shorts and sleeveless out fits and how come a male student cannot? They again blabbered something about fashion and dress and culture. I couldn't make out what they said as frustration was creeping on me. As i was already late for class and no amount of batting my eyes did no good i had to turn back and change.
This my dear friends is only a simple act of discrimination, however if we do not act and stand up for our rights we might start loosing and spiral backwards and be swept from substantial opportunities and right... I think its time for another war...a war to fight against favoritism to a particular sex....and a war for equality.

Yes, there is discrimination among sexes nowadays, we just don't realize it because women are always labeled the weaker sex, but in reality being a man brings more disadvantage in my opinion, girls are always favored at schools, offices and even on public transport.
